Calibry 3D scanner was used in the additive manufacturing skill competition. Participants digitized a car bumper, which they then needed to reverse engineer. Before the competition, contestants were given a master class from a Thor3D representative. They learned nuances of scanning but most of them were already well-acquainted with the equipment since their colleges had Calibry scanners on-hand during the many rigorous months of preparation.
